BASIC CARE FOR OUR MERINO CLOTHING
Merino wool is a natural, durable, and surprisingly low-maintenance material. There’s no need to worry about it—its care is simple and manageable for everyone.
Just follow a few basic rules:
Wash on a wool cycle, ideally up to 30 °C with low spin
You can also hand wash in lukewarm water
Use detergents designed for wool
After washing
Gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring)
Dry flat to help the garment keep its shape
What to avoid
Do not use fabric softener or a tumble dryer
Do not dry on a radiator – it may shrink
Avoid hot water and sudden temperature changes
A small tip
Merino doesn’t need to be washed often – airing it out is usually enough
How to extend the lifespan of merino
Wash less, air more
Treat stains locally; no need to wash the entire garment
Store clothing with lavender – it works as a natural moth repellent
Store flat, not on a hanger
Pills can be easily removed (by hand or with a fabric shaver)
If needed, you can steam the garment – it helps with wrinkles and shape without damaging the merino
Summary
If you follow these simple steps, your merino can stay beautiful for 10 years or even longer.
