Basic Care for Our Merino Clothing
 

Merino wool is an exceptional natural material that will last for many years when properly cared for. You don't have to worry about complicated maintenance – simply follow a few basic guidelines.

Washing

• Wash on the Wool cycle, ideally at 30 °C (86 °F).
• Use a detergent designed for wool.
• Select a low spin speed.
• You can also hand wash the garment in lukewarm water up to 30 °C (86 °F).
   

Drying

After washing, gently squeeze out excess water without wringing the garment, then reshape it to its original form.
Leave it to dry flat, ideally on a clean, dry towel.

Avoid

• Do not use fabric softener.
• Do not tumble dry or dry on a radiator.
• Avoid hot water and sudden temperature changes.

Extra Tip

One of the greatest benefits of merino wool is that it doesn't need to be washed after every wear. In most cases, simply airing the garment outdoors is enough to freshen it up for your next adventure.

What can you repair at home?

• Small holes caused by snags or moths.
• Pulled or snagged stitches.
• Pilling using a fabric shaver or wool comb.

When to send your garment to us

• Larger holes and worn areas.
• Damaged seams.
• If you're unsure about the correct repair method for minor repairs :)

When repair is usually not possible

• Damage caused by improper washing or drying.
• Extensive wear of the fabric.
• Multiple damaged areas across the garment.
