The use of clean energy from the newly installed solar power plant on the roof of our production facility in Prague Suchdol is another investment in sustainability by Kama.

When we opened the renovated building in 2020, we felt good about having built an energy-efficient facility. The three key features leading to savings are full LED lighting, significant insulation on all facades and heating with waste heat from the knitting and ironing room.

Not only for this, but also for its overall approach to business, use of recycled and degradable materials with the most stringent environmental certifications, constant innovation in production technologies, waste management and emphasis on economic and social sustainability, KAMA was ranked among the top 10 most sustainable companies in the country in 2022.

Because we want to behave responsibly, but also because the cost-saving measures have already proven to be significantly beneficial after two years of operation, we have decided to make further inestimations. This time to a solar power plant.

When preparing the renovation project, we had already planned for this in advance, so we were now able to install photovoltaics on all roof areas, comprising 108 solar panels with a total output of 43.2 kW.



The owners of the company perceive the issue of energy production and consumption and the related deterioration of climate change as a serious problem. If there are solutions to get involved in improving the environment, they consider their use an absolute necessity.
