KAMA sustainable
KAMA was ranked among the TOP 10 sustainable companies in the Czech Republic.
Generali Česká pojišťovna organized another year of the SME EnterPRIZE competition, the aim of which is to award companies that adhere to the principles of sustainability in their business and thus have a positive impact on the environment.

Even if KAMA is not a typical company that primarily aims at the very essence of sustainability, as was the case with a number of other competition participants – wastewater treatment, waste recycling, organic farming – you will also find a number of aspects of sustainability with us:
KAMA processes pure wool that is decomposable
KAMA reconstructed the production site with a focus on energy saving – insulation, LED lighting, additional heating with waste heat from production
KAMA is innovating the production park - lower consumption, greater performance
KAMA processes fleece made from recycled PET bottles
The materials used, such as Schoeller wool and GORE membranes, have the strictest bluesign® ecological standard
KAMA hats and sweaters are made from yarn with chlorine-free EXP treatment for washing and ecological certificates EU Ecolable, Oeko Tex Standard 100.
KAMA is currently switching to ecological packaging
KAMA is preparing the installation of electrovoltaics
In addition to ecological sustainability, KAMA also emphasizes economic and social sustainability. That's probably why we were awarded by an expert jury among the TOP 10 sustainably doing business in 2022, of which 86 competed this year!
We greatly appreciate the FINALIST title of the 2022 Sustainable Business Support competition. It is an award for our more than 30 years of efforts to behave responsibly. We donate the financial reward of CZK 10,000 to humanitarian support for Ukraine.
In the informal part of the evening, we had the opportunity to meet a number of amazing entrepreneurs and share their experiences. We were delighted by the unprecedented interest in the story of our family company from Mr. Roman Juráš (general manager of Generali) and Miroslav Singer (former governor of the CNB, now chief economist of Generali). In the long conversation, music also came up

General Director of GENERALI Česká pojišťovna Roman Juráš and Mahulena and Jiří Pertl, founders of Kama.
